You can use music to purposefully change your mood and reduce stress. Singing along with your favorite tunes can be a great distraction from stress and worry. Fun music with a strong beat can be a great energy pick-me-up for anything you’re doing, especially for exercising. I have a workout playlist on my ipod that keeps me moving and motivated.

- Pleasurable music may increase dopamine (a feel-good chemical!)
- Listening to music you love may lead to better work performance
- Thirty minutes of listening to classical music can product calming effects equivalent to taking 10mg of Valium.
