So I customize an approach and treatment plan designed for your specific situation.

Before our first appointment, I’ll send you some paperwork to fill out and bring with you so we can maximize our time together in our first session.  This gives me a holistic view of who you are, what problems you’re experiencing, and your goals for feeling better.

I want you to be able integrate what we’re working on in our sessions and apply it to your everyday life so you can see real results. So you’ll often have “homework” to do in between sessions to help you get results faster.

The single most powerful thing you can do to reduce anxiety is to change your perspective and train your brain to start assessing situations differently.  When you can look at problems, worries or fears in a different way, you can reduce feelings of anxiety.  Different thoughts lead to different feelings.

But if you could do that on your own, you probably would have done it already.

This is where my Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) comes in. Based on dozens of scientific studies, CBT is probably the most effective treatment for anxiety. 60-80% of people experience a significant reduction in anxiety.  And CBT has longer-lasting results than medication because it gets to the root cause of the problem.

Changing those habits of anxiety thinking and “rewiring” the mind is the heart of our work together. It is not necessarily a quick fix – but a lasting one.
